Street Photography

The smile of a stranger you happen to meet, workers toiling away as they repair the road, or the neighbour you say ‘good morning’ to every day. We rush past all these faces, forgetting that behind each one lies a unique story. Not just the story of this very morning, but years of experiences, dreams and hardships. For me, street photography is an attempt to strike up a dialogue with these anonymous stories. It is about pausing the rhythm of the city to capture, in a single frame, the truth about a person whom we may never meet again, but who, for a moment, became the centre of my world.
